The stadium is located in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It covers an area of 14.2 hectares and has a total construction area of 824,000 square meters with capacity for 60,000 people.

　　As the largest and highest ranked stadium in the Chinese government's foreign aid projects to date, after its completion, the stadium can host intercontinental games, major international soccer events and national celebrations, and serve as the main stadium for the 2023 Southeast Asian Games.

　　China IPPR project design team independently developed a new set of spatial structure. The construction process and monitoring data were highly consistent with the technical proposal, which proved that the design result and the construction plan are viable and advanced.

　　Cambodia National Stadium stands thousands of miles away, serving as proof that China IPPR’s expertise is being spread from China to the world.
