Chairman of CAMCE Luo Yan Participated the Foundation Laying Ceremony of Nepal Pokhara International Airport Project

    On the morning of April 13, 2016, which was the first day of Nepal's new year, the Foundation Laying Ceremony of Nepal Pokhara International Airport Project was held at the Pokhara project site. Invited by Nepal government, Chairman Luo Yan on behalf of CAMCE, attended the Foundation Laying Ceremony. Business Counselor of China Embassy in Nepal Peng Wei also attended the Foundation Laying Ceremony. The distinguished guests of Nepal attended the ceremony included Nepali Premier Oli, who is the Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), Former Nepali Premier Prachanda and Premier Jhala Nath Khanal, who are the Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), General Secretary of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala, and the Ministers of Nepal transportation department, foreign department, financial department and civil aviations department, and several Congressmen. Over ten thousands of people in Pokhara dressed in colorful traditional clothing went to the site of foundation laying ceremony.

    At noon, the ceremony officially began in the melodious Anthem in Nepal. First of all, according to the tradition of Nepal it held a light lamp ceremony for the smooth implementation of the project. Under the witness of the distinguished guests and Pokhara local people, Nepal Prime Minister Oli buried the foundation stone for Pokhara International Airport project.

    Nepal Prime Minister Oli, Chairman of CAMCE Luo Yan and Nepalese officials published ebullience speeches. Chairman Luo Yan said in her speech that thanks to the government of Nepal for trusting CAMCE; thanks to the Chinese government, especially the Chinese Embassy in Nepal for strongly supporting and helping CAMCE to develop and promote the Pokhara International Airport project. Chairman Luo Yan also said that CAMCE is confident to ensure quality and timely completion of the construction, will make the Nepalese people 40 years long cherished wish come true, and make contribution to the long history of friendship between two countries. Nepal Prime Minister Oli said in his speech that thanks to CAMCE responsible for the construction of Pokhara International Airport, and stressed that Nepal government and people will strongly support the construction work of the Airport.
