  On September 8th,Philippines WORLD NEWS reported Chico River Pump Station Irrigation Project undertaken by CAMCE with the title "China Speed" witnessed in the Philippines!

  The report introduced that the progress of the project went beyond expectations with the efforts of engineers, managers and high-skilled equipment operators of CAMCE. The completion rate of the project has reached 30.59% while the target was 23.48% by the end of July. The project owner, the National Irrigation Authority of the Philippines (NIA), stated that all construction work had been carried out in advance.

  The report also pointed out that the project will create 14,784 jobs during the execution and provide 8,700 long-term jobs when it is put into operation in the next three years. The project also plans to bring 36,217 MT of polished rice to the Philippines, which will save $15.57 million in rice import costs and earn income with an annual increase of 75,193 pesos per hectare.

  The amount of the project is USD 73.04 million, with the main work being construction of a new pumping station, hydraulic tunnel and auxiliary facilities on the right bank of the Chico River. The contract period is 36 months. When the project is completed, it will provide irrigation water for 8,700 hectares of farmland in the surrounding area, benefiting 4350 local farmers, which will bring social and economic benefits.
