Xinhua News Agency reported the earthquake relief efforts made by CAMCE’s Ecuador Branch and Yang Liang, General Manager of No.5 Engineering Department of CAMCE under the theme of Chinese Warm Current surging in Equatorial Country on 2nd, July 2016.
As a communist, Yang Liang, General Manager of No.5 Engineering Department of CAMCE, gave full play to the role model and organized donations of material and cash, as well as blood donation in CAMCE’s Ecuador Branch to help Ecuador overseas Chinese and Chinese Charity Federation in Ecuador to carry out disaster relief efforts after the 4.16 strong earthquakes. CAMCE donated 20 housings for the program of Urgent Affordable Housing for the Disabled after Earthquake. Portoviejo hospital, undertaken by CAMCE and located at severely afflicted area, remains intact except partial falling off of walls and ceilings. The hospital will be completed in next January and 3 other hospitals undertaken by CAMCE will be completed successively, which will dramatically improve per capita medical resources and made hospital accessible to the people nearby.
Besides, Portoviejo 911 National Security Emergency Response Command Center, hundreds of meters away from Portoviejo hospital, stands erect. There are seven 911 National Security Emergency Response Command Centers built by CAMCE in total, among which four of them located in the seismic region and no structural damage were found in these centers, which fully demonstrates CAMCE’s professional and efficient management in construction, quality and emergency response capability, and enables Ecuadorian people to believe in Chinese quality. CAMCE interprets China Image through practical action and lays solid foundation of friendship between China and Ecuador.
