On August 21st, a symposium for Chinese enterprises in the oil and gas industry in Iraq was successfully held in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, hosted by China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) and organized by China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE). Xu Xinwei, Deputy General Manager of Sinosure, Wang Bo, Assistant General Manager of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), Chairman of China Machinery Engineering Corporation Group(CMEC Group), Chairman of CAMCE, as well as key executives from United Energy, Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation, Zhenhua Oil, and Anton Petroleum, and representatives of Chinese oil and gas companies in Iraq attended the symposium. 

　　The symposium was chaired by Zheng Zhongping, General Manager of Sinosure's Strategic Customer Department I. The symposium focused on the layout of enterprises in the oil and gas field in Iraq, future development ideas, representative project cases, and actively supporting business expansion through export credit policies. This symposium is the first time that Sinosure has held on Chinese enterprises in the oil and gas industry in an overseas country. It aimed to gather the consensus of Chinese oil and gas enterprises in Iraq, promote the joint construction of high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road", jointly cultivate the industrial ecosystem of Iraq's oil and gas industry, continue to help Iraq's economic development and improve people's livelihood, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. 

　　Liu Shengcheng, Deputy General Manager of CAMCE, introduced the advantages and performance of CMEC Group in the field of oil and gas engineering, as well as the exploration and practice of actively leveraging the advantages of Chinese central State-owned enterprises, integrating internal and external resources, deeply cultivating the oil and gas field, and serving national energy security, based on the case of the EPCC of CPF-Oil & Gas Treatment System and Auxiliary Systems Project for Block 9 in Iraq undertaken by CAMCE. 

　　At the symposium, senior executives of United Energy, Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation, Zhenhua Oil, and Anton Petroleum respectively introduced the development situation and ideas of their oil and gas business in Iraq. 

　　Wang Bo thanked Sinosure and the project owner United Energy for their trust and support to the company. He reviewed the history of cooperation between Sinosure, as well as the achievements the company has made in financing model innovation and the landing of RMB internationalization projects with Sinosure's support in recent years. Wang Bo stated that the company will fully leverage its own advantages, rely on the strong industrial resources and industrialization development capabilities of Sinomach, with provide project general contracting and "EPC+" professional services for various oil and gas enterprises the strong support of Sinosure, and actively serve the national energy security strategy. 

　　Xu Xinwei expressed gratitude to CAMCE, for providing a good platform for Chinese oil and gas companies in Iraq to discuss industry cooperation. He also thanked all oil and gas companies for actively participating in sharing and discussions, and providing suggestions for the healthy development of the industry. In his concluding speech, Xu Xinwei pointed out: 

　　First, we should promote high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" and actively seize the development opportunities of Iraq's oil and gas market, continue to maintain the current good cooperation momentum, actively promote technological innovation and improve management efficiency, strengthen the complementary advantages and collaborative cooperation among Chinese enterprises, jointly maintain the good image of Chinese enterprises in Iraq, actively implement the national energy security strategy and promote the economic and social development and progress of Iraq. 

　　Secondly, Sinosure will adhere to a problem-oriented approach and conduct in-depth research on national markets, industry conditions, and actual needs of enterprises, to continuously improve customer service quality, fully utilize credit insurance policies to actively assist in the development of the oil and gas industry market, promote strong alliances between upstream and downstream related enterprises in the Chinese oil and gas industry, work together to go global, and achieving win-win outcomes. 

　　Thirdly, Sinosure will continue to promote green and low-carbon transformation and development. At the symposium, relevant enterprises reported that while vigorously exploring the oil and gas field, they are actively promoting China-Iraq cooperation in the field of new energy. Sinosure supports relevant enterprises to follow the requirements of high-quality development, make good planning and layout, and coordinate the development of traditional energy and green energy. 

　　The working group composed of heads of the business management department, project insurance underwriting department and Dubai office of Sinosure, as well as Yang Zhigang, General Manager of CAMCE No.6 Engineering Department, Geng Kui and Huang Bin, Deputy General Managers of CAMCE No.6 Engineering Department and Chen Jianping, Financing Director of the Finance Department, attended the meeting.
