Financing Implementation for t the contract for Reconstruction, Expansion and Improvement from the Punta Huete International Airport in Nicaragua
Recently, CAMCE received an advance payment for the Reconstruction, Expansion and Improvement of the Punta Huete International Airport (Lot A) in Nicaragua, and subsequently secured financing for Lot A. The financing for both lots of the project has been secured, and the project has entered the substantive promotion stage.
The project (Lot A and Lot B) is one of the important agreements signed by CAMCE and the Nicaraguan Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure at the CEO Conference of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in October 2023. The total amount of lots A and B of the project is approximately 3.593 billion RMB, with a contract duration of 48 months for each lot. The implementation of this project will have a positive impact on the company's business performance for the next four years.
In terms of project financing
The project has pioneered the establishment of the first overseas sovereign free trade zone repayment account, becoming the first RMB sovereign commercial loan project in Latin America, maintaining CAMCE's consistent financing advantage in the industry, and connecting a new path of RMB internationalization.
In terms of integrated development
CAMCE has integrated two business cycles of design consulting and engineering contracting in the project. China IPPR, a subsidiary of CAMCE, has formed a strong alliance with the business and financing advantages of CAMCE project team based on its experience and advantages in airport design, and has gained recognition from the owner, achieving a fusion effect of 1+1>2. The project is another successful practice of the company's integrated development strategy.
