CAMCE signed business contract for the construction of West Demerara Hospital in Guyana
At the beginning of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Snake, CAMCE successfully signed a general contracting agreement with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Guyana for the West Demerara Hospital in Guyana, achieving a good start in 2025.
The West Demerara Hospital project is located in Region 3 of Guyana, facing the capital Georgetown across the river. The main content of the project is to build a modern hospital with advanced medical service functions such as MRI and cardiovascular imaging, including hospital design, equipment procurement, construction, and installation and commissioning.
The successful signing of the project is an important achievement since CAMCE entered the Guyana market for the first time in 2022 with the Regional Hospitals Project in Guyana achieving rolling development through implementation and promoting development through execution. It demonstrates the trust and recognition of the Guyana Ministry of Health in CAMCE’s professional capabilities and technical level. The efficient division of labor between the Overseas Business Department of CAMCE and the China IPPR design team,, a subsidiary of CAMCE, leveraging their respective strengths, has once again demonstrated the effectiveness of the company's integrated development strategy through practical actions. The successful signing of the project consolidates CAMCE's leading edge in the field of medical and health construction, and creates another good performance for the company to continue to expand the construction of medical and health infrastructure in countries along the "the Belt and Road".
