The Tianmen Cableway in Artux, Xinjiang has successfully passed the acceptance inspection
On August 10, 2025, the Xinjiang Artux Tianmen Cableway invested and constructed by BMH, affiliated to CAMCE, passed the acceptance inspection of the National Cable Inspection Center. Under the guidance of the "14th Five Year Plan" of CAMCE, the project is the first cableway invested and operated by BMH in its history, which has achieved a breakthrough from 0 to 1 in the field of cableway engineering. The successful acceptance of Tianmen Cableway marks another important milestone for the cableway construction and operation project, and is a concrete manifestation of CAMCE's active implementation of the "14th Five Year Plan".
Tianmen is located on the southern branch of the Western Tianshan Mountains in Artux, Xinjiang. It is the tallest natural stone arch in the world, with a height of about 500 meters and a width of about 100 meters. It is famous for its grand scale and unique geographical location. The Tianmen Cableway has a horizontal length of 765.911 meters and a height difference of 93 meters. It is equipped with 4 supports along the line and has 30 hanging cabins. The maximum operating speed is 6 meters per second, and the one-way traffic volume per hour is 2,400 persons. It is the first high-altitude sightseeing cableway in southern Xinjiang.
In 2024, BMH deeply integrated with the "central local cooperation" of Artux Government, and a detachable cableway and a reciprocating cableway would be proposed in the core scenic area, respectively leading to both sides of the Tianmen. The detached cableway station completed this time is connected to the viewing platform on the north side of Tianmen via a boardwalk, allowing tourists to experience the stunning scenery of Tianmen up close and appreciate the incredible craftsmanship of nature.
The successful completion of the cableway has injected key momentum into Tianmen Scenic Area. So far, BMH has built 153 detachable cableways.
