The construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port is a major national strategy and a crucial cornerstone for shaping China's new development paradigm. It aims to create a demonstration window for China's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up in the new era. On December 16, the core cylinder structure of Hainan Center (Haikou Tower), the "tallest building in Hainan," designed by China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CAMCE, was successfully topped out. This milestone marks the official completion of the project's core structure, supporting the island-wide customs closure operations in Hainan.

Hainan Center, an ultra-high-rise building invested by Hainan Airport under Hainan Holdings, stands at a height of 428 meters with a total floor area of approximately 391,000 square meters. It is currently the tallest ultra-high-rise building located in a high-intensity seismic fortification zone of 8 degrees (0.3g) globally and ranks among the most structurally complex and challenging ultra-high-rise projects in the world. The current construction height of the project has reached 402 meters, redefining Hainan's urban skyline. The topping-out of the project at this critical juncture, as the province strives to advance customs closure operations, signifies decisive progress in its construction.

Once operational, the project will drive urban development and enhance the service industry ecosystem through diversified functions such as high-end business facilities, international hotels, and tourism services. It will further boost the sense of happiness and pride among the people of Hainan, inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of the Hainan Free Trade Port after the island-wide customs closure, and serve as a landmark symbolizing the industrial upgrading and opening-up of the Free Trade Port.
