Recently, Guillermo Lasso, President of Ecuador, inspected and attended the opening ceremony of the Pedernales Hospital, which was built by CAMCE. José Ruales, Minister of Health of Ecuador, accompanied the attendance. 

　　During the inspection, President Guillermo highly praised the quality of hospital construction and stated in the interview at the opening ceremony that the completion of this project would erase the tragic memory of the earthquake on April 2016. 

　　The hospital has been officially put into operation, benefiting 80,000 residents of Pedernales and 400,000 surrounding residents.

　　Project Introduction: 

　　The construction project of Pedenales Hospital in Ecuador is located in Pedernales, Manabí Province. It was signed and started on November 27, 2020 and the completion acceptance letter was signed on July 31, 2023. The project covers an area of 31,700 square meters, with a construction area of 7,200 square meters. The original Pedernales Medical Center was damaged in the "4.16" earthquake in 2016. This project is one of the key post-earthquake reconstruction projects in Ecuador. The hospital is equipped with a new type of seismic device which is designed to resist the earthquake up to magnitude 8.
