Chinese and Ukrainian Leaders Inspected the Uzbekistan Olympic City Project
From July 6th to 9th, at the invitation of Tanzila Norbaeva, Chairman of the Senate of the Supreme Assembly, and Nurdinzhon Ismoilov, Speaker of the Legislative House of the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, paid an officially friendly visit to Uzbekistan.
During his visit, Zhao Leji inspected the Olympic City project undertaken by CAMCE, emphasized the need to promote high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and ensure that the fruits of cooperation to benefit the people of both countries more extensively and effectively.

Li Xiaoyu, Deputy General Manager of Sinomach, and Li Haixin, General Manager of CAMCE, among others, participated in activities related to the project.
The project represents the first major cooperative project to be implemented between China and Uzbekistan, and it is also the first project in Uzbekistan to be comprehensively designed, constructed, and accepted using Chinese standards. Upon completion, it will become the largest sports complex in Central Asia. Sinomach has undertaken the EPC contract for the entire project.

Located in the eastern part of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the project is under the EPC contract of CAMCE, with the design completed by China IPPR, a subsidiary of CAMCE. With a total construction area exceeding 100,000 square meters, the project will include a main stadium with a capacity of 15,000 spectators, five indoor, and 15 outdoor sports complexes. Upon completion, it will host the 4th Asian Youth Games and the 5th Asian Youth Para Games in 2025.
Since its inception, the project has received significant attention from the leaders of both governments. During the groundbreaking ceremony in 2022, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev stated that Uzbekistan had carefully considered and decided to cooperate with China on this project. This project holds historic significance for Uzbekistan, symbolizing the country's potential and continued pursuit of new achievements in sports.
