Recently, the 2025 Global South Financiers Forum was held in Beijing. The forum aims to provide a communication platform for the financial community of countries in the global South, to jointly explore financial development models that meet the development needs of the global South, inject new impetus into the stability and prosperity of the global economy, convey the "voice of the South", and demonstrate the "responsibility of the South". Government departments, financial institution leaders, experts and scholars from over 30 countries and regions around the world participated in the series of activities. As an important component of the event, the Forum of Global Low Carbon Transformation Driven by Green Finance was successfully held on March 20th at the National Financial Information Center. The forum, hosted by China Securities Journal, delved into core topics such as green and low-carbon development, environmental and climate governance, and green investment and financing. Wang Bo, Chairman of CMEC Group and CAMCE, attended the forum and spoke on behalf of the company at the roundtable exchange session on the theme of "ESG Assists Global Competitiveness".

Wang Bo shared with the attendees how to leverage ESG to enhance the global competitiveness of enterprises, based on the rich ESG practices of CAMCE's "going global". CAMCE's international operation started early and has rich experience. It has carried out business in more than 70 countries around the world, participated in the construction of a large number of key cooperation projects of the "the Belt and Road", and deeply understood the key role of ESG practice in business. In practice, the more high-end the market and customers are, the more they value the construction of ESG systems and the quality of ESG reports for participants. Sixty percent of CAMCE's business is oriented overseas. During project execution, it is often necessary to coordinate bilateral or multilateral relationships. Therefore, "international standards" have become an important basis for the company to draft ESG reports.

At the same time, Wang Bo believes that building an ESG evaluation system with Chinese characteristics is of great significance. It shall uphold the concept of "jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind", promote the common values of all mankind, achieve win-win and shared benefits for all mankind, fully consider stakeholders and social responsibilities, fully understand the social environment and legal system of different countries, and also combine Chinese characteristics, focusing on integrating local practices such as common prosperity and rural revitalization into the international ESG framework system.
