On July 24, the commissioning ceremony for the Block 9 Gas Central Processing Facility Project in Iraq, undertaken by CAMCE, was held. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani participated in the ceremony via video link. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani, Deputy Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair, Director General of Basra Oil Company Bassim Abdul Karim, Vice President of United Energy Group and President of its Iraq Branch Chang Guangfa, and General Manager of CAMCE’s No.6 Engineering Department Geng Kui attended the event. The ceremony was covered in real-time by multiple Iraqi media outlets.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani highly commended the outstanding achievements of the project and the tremendous efforts made by all participating units. He noted that the commissioning of the project is an important achievement following the Iraqi government's strategic initiative to “reduce waste emissions and achieve self-sufficiency in the energy sector,” and it will make significant contributions to enhancing Iraq's petroleum industrialization level, promoting economic diversification, and strengthening environmental protection.

Chang Guangfa extended warm congratulations on the successful commissioning of the project, and highly commended CAMCE's outstanding performance during the project's construction. The project has successfully achieved full-process, full-type product export, effectively alleviating the summer natural gas shortage in Iraq, and making significant contributions to the economic development and improvement of living standards in the project's host region.

At the celebration ceremony, to recognize CAMCE's outstanding contract fulfillment capabilities and significant contributions, the Iraqi Ministry of Oil specially awarded the company the “Excellent Contractor” certificate, and expressed its expectation that CAMCE will continue to make greater contributions to the development of Iraq's oil and gas industry in the future.
