Wang Bo Conducted Series of Business Activities in Turkmenistan

From October 17 to 22, Wang Bo, Chairman of CAMCE, carried out a series of business activities in Turkmenistan.

Meeting with H.E. Mammedkhan Chakyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

On behalf of CAMCE, Wang Bo expressed gratitude to Deputy Chairman Chakyev for the warm invitation and thoughtful arrangements. He introduced CAMCE’s historical evolution, strategic layout, and main business operations, as well as a series of achievements in advancing projects in Central Asia. Wang Bo stated that CMEC Group and its member enterprises will fully leverage their comprehensive advantages and resource integration capabilities in large-scale engineering construction to engage in multi-level, mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan in infrastructure, industrial development, and other fields. He emphasized the commitment to providing integrated one-stop services covering investment and engineering procurement and construction (EPC) across the entire industrial chain. These efforts are aimed at aligning deeply with Turkmenistan’s “Revival of the Silk Road” development strategy, setting new benchmarks for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, improving people’s livelihoods and modernization levels, and contributing further to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Turkmenistan.

Deputy Chairman Mammedkhan Chakyev welcomed Chairman Wang Bo and his delegation to Turkmenistan and provided a detailed introduction to the development history and planning of the transportation and communications sectors, progress in infrastructure electrification, and a series of reforms implemented in recent years. Deputy Chairman Chakyev acknowledged that CMEC Group and its member enterprises possess strong comprehensive capabilities in design, construction, and financing, describing them as trustworthy partners with outstanding professional expertise. He expressed hope that they would fully leverage their strengths and actively participate in the development of Turkmenistan’s transportation and communications sectors, contributing further to deepening economic and trade exchanges between China and Turkmenistan and enhancing the well-being of the two peoples.

Wang Bo thanked Deputy Chairman Annamammedov for taking the time to meet and introduced CAMCE’s strengths, which are underpinned by the robust scientific research capabilities and industrial foundation of its parent company, SINOMACH. He highlighted CAMCE’s competitive edge in survey and design consulting, equipment R&D and manufacturing, and industrial construction, as well as its international competitiveness in large-scale industrial project execution, project financing, and resource integration. Wang Bo expressed the hope to establish long-term and close cooperation with relevant Turkmen government departments and enterprises, promoting joint consultation, collaboration, and shared benefits. He emphasized the goal of expanding cooperation in infrastructure, industrial development, oil and gas chemicals, and other fields, thereby contributing to Turkmenistan’s socio-economic and industrial progress.

Deputy Chairman Baýmyrat Annamammedov welcomed Chairman Wang Bo and his delegation to Turkmenistan and spoke highly of the professional capabilities demonstrated by CMEC Group and its member enterprises in the development of the Turkmen market. He also outlined Turkmenistan’s industrialization progress and potential opportunities. Deputy Chairman Annamammedov expressed hope to leverage China’s advanced experience and technological expertise, along with CAMCE’s outstanding engineering capabilities, to facilitate the early implementation of specific cooperation projects, thereby contributing to Turkmenistan’s industrial modernization and economic diversification strategies.

Meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan

Wang Bo and Zheng Zhongping, General Manager of the First Strategic Client Department of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) jointly met with Ji Shumin, Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan, and Li Yue, Economic and Commercial Counselor. They provided detailed introductions to Sinosure and CMEC Group, as well as market development activities in Turkmenistan. The joint delegation’s visit aimed to gain insights into Turkmenistan’s economic development status, market potential, and future prospects in related fields, with the goal of advancing relevant cooperation projects.

Ambassador Ji Shumin thanked the Sinosure and CMEC Group delegation for visiting Turkmenistan and provided a comprehensive overview of China-Turkmenistan cooperation in natural gas, economy, trade, cultural exchanges, and other areas. Ambassador Ji noted that the leaders of China and Turkmenistan held a meeting during the SCO Summit in September, achieving positive outcomes in cooperation on natural gas, cultural development, and non-resource sectors. He encouraged Chinese enterprises to seize this historic opportunity, actively align with the development plans of the Turkmen government, and contribute to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

Other Meetings

During their stay in Turkmenistan, Wang Bo and Zheng Zhongping led the joint working group in meetings with Akhmedov, Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan; Atayev, Chairman of the Chemical Concern; and Begli Murtanazarov, Deputy Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, among other officials.
