The 400,000t/a Bleached Kraft Pulp Plant Project in Belarus, constructed by CAMCE on 10th, December 2017, starts its running production. This is CAMCE's another important project after China-Belarus Industrial Park in Belarus.
The project is to build a 400,000t/a bleached kraft pulp plant in Svetlogorsk, Belarus with contract amount exceeding USD 800Million. It is the largest EPC project between China and Belarus, and gets heightened attention from both governments and international pulp industry.
This pulp plant becomes the 1st large and modern pulp plant going into production in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of the Independent States in the past 40 years. It will upgrade the industrial structure of logging industry and increase product variety to improve its profitability. It's predicted that the plant will earn foreign exchange of nearly USD 400 Million and create 1000 jobs. In addition, because paper industry has great relevance to other industries like forestry, agriculture, machine manufacturing, chemical industry, pyroelectricity, transportation and environmental protection, it will give a great boost to the development of upstream and downstream industries in local area.
The pulp plant adopts world advanced techniques and production equipments, and many green innovative technologies, its highly self-sufficient energy lowers the production cost and safety risks, thus realizing a green virtuous cycle of developing forestry depending on pulp and promoting pulp through forestry. It is highlighted as successful model of cooperation between Chin and Belarus.
