Recently, Geita-Bulyanhulu 220kV Substation and Transmission Line Project in Tanzania (the Project) received completion certificate (CC) issued by the owner, Tanzania Power Company.

It is the first project of CAMCE to successfully enter the Tanzanian market. The project is to build the new Geita substation in EPC mode, expand the original 220kV substation in Bulyanhulu, and build 55 kilometers of 161-base iron tower transmission lines between the two stations. The commercial contract for this project was signed in Dar es Salaam on August 7, 2018, and the construction started on January 10, 2019.

Since the beginning of the year, under the multiple pressures of COVID-19 and the local rainy season, the Project team has actively coordinated domestic and international resources, strictly performed the epidemic prevention and control, and finally achieved high-quality completion on schedule. The smooth delivery of the Project indicates that CAMCE's general contracting strength has been recognized by the Tanzania power market and strengthened CAMCE's competitiveness in expanding the Tanzania power market.
