On November 9, the ceremony of laying the foundation stone to the Olympic town facilities took place in Tashkent. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Li Haixin, the General Manager of CAMCE, attended the ceremony.

　　The town will cover an area of about 100.6 hectares, with a building area of about 120，000 square meters, including five major stadiums and gymnasiums, such as the stadium, natatorium, cycling stadium, ball multi-function stadium, and martial arts stadium, as well as outdoor football, basketball, tennis, extreme sports, beach volleyball and other venues. This project is not only an important achievement in implementing the cooperation initiative of the SCO Samarkand Council of Heads of State in 2022, but also the first major cooperation project between China and Ukraine after the successful convening of the Council of Heads of State.

　　The most high-profile and large-scale of the upcoming events are the fourth Asian Youth Games and the Asian Youth Para Games, which will be held in Tashkent in 2025. The construction of the Olympic City project will create favorable conditions for the smooth holding of the Games.

　　Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia Hussein al-Musallam, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee Majid Rashid and athletes participated in the ceremony and made speeches.
