On the morning of March 23, 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Italian Premier Conte in Rome and jointly witnessed the signing and exchange documents of China-Italy Memorandum of Understanding on promoting the construction of "the Belt and Road " Initiative. Chairman Luo Yan of CAMCE and Chairman Benedetti of Italian Danieli Group exchanged equipment purchase contracts for Azerbaijan Steel Production Complex Construction Project under the witness of the two leaders.

　　China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. and Azerbaijani Integrated Steelmaking Company signed the contract of Azerbaijan Steel Production Complex Project in Beijing on December 5, 2018. The content of the project is to build a new comprehensive steelmaking plant with an annual production capacity of 1.25 million tons of direct reduced iron and 700,000 tons of sheet plate products with contract value of US$1.17 billion. The equipment purchase contract is the subcontract of the project signed this time and is also an important achievement with symbolic significance of China-Italy economic cooperation in third countries.

　　Through practice for development concepts of innovation, coordination, green-tech, open-minded and mutual-share, CAMCE committed to promote cooperation of infrastructure construction between China and Italy which has achieved initial success.
