On February 13, 2020, the Wuhan City Headquarters Task Force on the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Epidemic issued a notification to CAMCE WHU Design & Research Co.,Ltd. with a request to organize all parties as soon as possible to complete the construction of the complex building of Zhongshan Hospital of Hubei Province (NO.3 People's Hospital of Hubei Province).
In the face of the epidemic, there was a higher demand for the completion work of the complex building. On February 15, Wuhan City Headquarters Task Force on the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Epidemic issued an emergency notice of setting the task of requisitioning beds in specially designated hospitals to fight the epidemic of the city, demanding that Zhongshan Hospital of Hubei Province (NO.3 People's Hospital of Hubei Province ) increase the number of beds to 1100, of which the number of beds in the new stationary complex building constructed by the WHU increase from 539 to 700. The admission requirements were also increased from patients with a mild degree of pneumonia to patients with a severe degree.

In the face of the epidemic, CAMCE’s employees fought day and night and took actions to realize their mission and responsibilities. The management of WHU urgently arranged the tasks and immediately launched the wartime mechanism. A commando was set up and demanded that the members of the team arrive as soon as they are called up, fight as soon as they arrive, and win the fight as soon as they participate in it. The company’s employees were not afraid of the risk of infection and took the initiative to participate in the fight. At the same time, the on-site personnel were immediately equipped with protective materials.
Since the office area and the construction zone of the project are located next to the old hospital area where patients with epidemic were treated, there is high risk of infection. The project team members implemented actively the protective measures, and coordinated the work with numerous parties and complete the work as soon as possible. At that moment, the project team work and live together and the members worked not only as courier and fighters, but also as security guards. When there was a serious shortage of hospital staff on site, they assisted the hospital in temporarily closing all ventilation hatches of the central air conditioning system and toilet ventilation openings in the hospital ward to prevent contamination of the pipeline.
On the morning of the 18th, a team led by the Secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei Province Ying Yong and the Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan City Wang Zhonglin visited the construction site to inspect the work of the hospital. During the visit, they fully confirmed the construction work of the project.
On the 19th, WHU completed the construction of the new stationary complex and handed it over to the hospital on time. In addition to achieving the goals of access to the electricity, network, elevator, hot water and oxygen, the medical gas system and the bed call system were also put into operation in the building, where was covered by the signals of the telephone network and TV broadcast signals. WHU completed the tasks set by the Wuhan City Headquarters Task Force on the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 Epidemic with high standards and high specifications.
